On the other hand, you can't hear him cry yet and you can get some sleep some of the time. Once he is here..... oops.....didn't mean to scare you. The point is, take naps and rest when you can. You also may notice a sudden burst of energy a couple of days before you go into labor, assuming you don't have the planned C-Section. Too bad you probably can't enjoy it, since if you're like me, you're just like, 'Let's HAVE this thing already!' I was soooooooooooo impatient the last few weeks - anxious to meet her, nervous about the labor, and just wanted to be done with the enormous cankles! That's too funny about the pity and nervousness of strangers. I was going to remind you guys to make sure that Richard gives you my cell phone number in case you can't get ahold of him right away - call me, and if worse comes to worse I either have a lot of the cell phone numbers of the rest of the crew, or can drive over there and pull him out by the hair! I'm sure it will be fine though - first baby, you'll likely go past your due date (which is not what you want to hear, but it's good to be prepared for the let-down of having to wait even LONGER for the little mister to arrive).
