Here are a few more fun stories: 1.) from Richard's mom (Debbie): "when my water broke with richard, I was living at bessie's <Richard's grandmother> house.  she was at work, and raymond was gone to the army.  bessie's one-eyed dog, rusty, was outside doing his duty.  I went to the door to let him in, but couldn't see him anywhere.  I started to yell real loud, and when I did, my water broke.  it ran all down my leg.  I didn't even know what it was.  I was so naïve.  I called the dr. and he said go to the hospital.  twenty four hours later richard was born.  back then they knocked you out during delivery, so when I woke up there he was." 2) From Jennifer Gardner (Sister-n-law): "I remember Ian and I went to IHOP when I was about 5 months pregnant and I could barely fit in the booth. The oh so nice waitress says to me…. Oh it looks like you are about to pop. I kindly told her ….No, I am only 5 months and have a little while longer. One more for you… this was a couple of weeks after we found out we were pregnant and I was already in maternity clothes. There were several people that felt they needed to tell me I shouldn’t be in maternity clothes yet. I told them I couldn’t control if my belly decided to pouch out. (of course then we found out we were having twins)" from Steph:  I actually relate to a few of these - one more week and I will not fit into a booth at IHOP...  Also, Rich and I went to dinner with his friend, Scott.  The waitress, when seating us said to me, "you know we can pull this table out a little for you."  I told her, "this is the only time in my life where I will not be offended by someone saying that to me."  Of course, I laughed, but the waitress was embarassed the rest of the time we were there.Written by Steph
